Collection: Wabi Sabi Home Decor

Wabi sabi home decor is the small stuff that makes a room feel lived in and calm at the same time: a stoneware bowl with a thumbprint in the glaze, a basket woven from banana bark, a wooden board that shows the grain it was cut from, a linen pillow that creases.

This collection brings together hand-thrown ceramics, serving bowls and platters, vases, wall baskets from Zimbabwe and Uganda, olive wood and walnut boards, cork trays and trivets, throw pillows and bedding in linen and cotton, mirrors with plain wooden frames, and a few carved objects that exist only to be looked at.

Nothing here is a set. Pieces are meant to be combined one or two at a time: a single tall vase on a sideboard, three bowls of different heights on a shelf, one basket on a wall. The materials, clay, wood, fibre, stone, linen, do the matching.

Every listing names the maker or region where we know it, the material and the real dimensions. See also wabi sabi ceramics and planters and wabi sabi furniture.
