Table

Tables are the centre of this store: dining tables in solid teak, walnut, acacia and mango wood, live-edge suar slabs, and cast concrete pieces that are lighter than they look. Wabi sabi dining tables in live-edge suar and solid teak sit beside mid-century modern walnut and oak tables with tapered legs; both are chosen for honest grain and real proportions. Most come from small workshops that finish each top by hand, so grain, knots and mineral streaks vary from one table to the next. Coffee tables and side tables run from round travertine drums to slender oak plinths. Consoles and sideboards give a hallway or dining room its storage without a wall of cabinetry. Desks are here too, because a good desk is a good table with a drawer. Every listing shows real measurements and the wood or stone it is made from. If a top is oiled rather than lacquered, the listing says so, along with how to care for it.
